WATER ACTIVITY: The Impact on Product Stability and Shelf Life Study

AN EXCLUSIVE INVITATION

WATER is a major component of foods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. It influences the texture, appearance, taste and spoilage of products.

Water Activity(AW) is a measure of the energy status of the water in a system, thusis a parameter of great importance in developing and improving products stability (food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic), especially the major concerns of chemical stability, biodeterioration and microbial spoilage, texture properties, flavour appearance and quality issues of your products.

Learn more about the emerging world of water activity at this upcoming seminar.

GUEST SPEAKER

Wendy Ortman is the Product Testing Technologies Application Engineer at Decagon.  She received her MS in Biochemistry at Washington State University and brings her research experience to Decagon to provide application and data analysis support for Decagon's customers. Wendy's expertise is in data analysis for water activity, moisture content, and moisture sorption isotherms as well as development of product testing strategies and new applications.

Brady Weldon is the International Distributor Manager for the AquaLab line of water activity products. Brady started with Decagon 2 years ago as the AquaLab Assistant Product Manager. Since that time Brady has become the product manager and helped establish and maintain a network of highly qualified distributors in more than 60 countries. He is also the main contact for all AquaLab customers outside of the United States. Brady graduated with a Master Degree in Accounting from the University of Idaho.
